Lifting the Burdens (From The Science of Mind Magazine)

He who clearly and distinctly understands himself and his

emotions Loves God, and does so the more, the more he

understands himself and his emotions

— Benedict de Spinoza

WHATEVER THE MISTAKES of yesterday may have been, today is a New Creation. Turning from the errors of the past and no longer carrying with us the sorrows and mistakes of yesterday, today we may enter a new experience. But it is only when we forgive ourselves and everyone else that we may feel certain that the weight of condemnation is lifted from our consciousness.

Therefore, I know: There is no animosity, no criticism, no hatred in me. I lose all condemnation. I judge not and the mistakes of yesterday are rendered powerless. I know that my every right motive has the blessing of the Spirit and that there is nothing which opposes this blessing or denies this Divine givingness.

I permit my inward vision to penetrate every apparent obstruction, every obstinate attempt to cover up the Divine, every ignorant misuse of the Law.

Definitely I know that every negative condition of the past is cleared away from my consciousness. I no longer think about it, see it or believe in it. Nor do I believe that it has any effect whatsoever in my experience today. Today is a new beginning. Steadfastly beholding the fact of Divine Reality, I resolve to walk in that light wherein there is no darkness.

I believe that the Spirit within me, which is God, makes Perfect and Peaceful the way before me!

Calm, Trust, & Faith

No matter what confusion appears at the surface of your Life,
there is always a place of calm at the center of your Being!

---Quote from Ernest Holmes,
Book "This Thing Called You”
page 75

Be a lamp unto yourself. Be your own confidence. Hold

to the Truth within yourself as to the only Truth.

—Buddha

THE SEEDS OF transformation are ripe in each moment. Every change offers the potential for awakening to a greater Truth of who I am. When I’m facing a challenge, I Trust that Life is always for me and never against me. I lean into times of transition to Create a space of expansiveness, opening the door wide to embrace the blessings within them.

Acting on my Truth calls me to a higher level of behavior. I can’t expect to get what I’m not willing to give. If I’m not willing to give nonjudgmental acceptance of another, I can’t expect it from others. If I I’m not willing to be a peaceful presence in the world, I can’t expect it in my own Life.

People and situations can upset me only if I let them. I can choose not to react, refusing to get sucked into the drama. Instead, I can be a place of peace in any circumstance, whether it’s in a family blowup, work situation, while watching the news or sitting in traffic. Peace is who I am — it’s what God made me to be. Sometimes choosing peace is a mighty undertaking, and the rewards are endless.

I was Created from the Greatest Love of all. I have everything it takes to give from the Goodness and Grace that’s inherent within me. When I give it, it comes back to me, multiplied abundantly. Remembering who I am, today I give from the bounty of the beauty that I am.
